Etter Balázs

Balázs Etter a soundengineer, sound-designer, re-recording mixer who started his carreer in 1983 at Magyar Rádió (Hungarian State Radio).

Beside sound engineering he has an interest in studio design beeing involved in audio system design and acoustics with smaller studios at the beginning.

Later when starting his first installations of Dolby mixing rooms he had the opportunity to work with the best acousticians in Hungary. As a soundengineer he gained more and more experience in audio and TC based sync systems design, and room alignement for theatratical mixing rooms.

In 1990 right after the end of the communist era, he founded the first commercial sound-postproduction studio in Hungary, all acoustics, system, and equipement installation, designed by him. With international advertising agencies like Ogilvy and Mathers, Saatchi&Saatchi, McCann Ericksson as the first clients, he gained a reputation in the post community with his studio.

The high quality results with commercials led him to the film industry. He gained experience in all aspects of film sound postproduction over the years and he is a sought after studio designer, installer in Budapest with experience in Dolby and THX licensed installations. Altough he worked over the installation in three of Hungary's four Dolby licensed mixing rooms he is involved more and more in music recording studios, rehearsal and practice rooms and even clubs.
